Brief Description: Tandus carries many types of carpet lines and tiles for commercial and residential. The POWERBOND line in particular is Tandus's hybrid line. It combines the idea of hard surface flooring with the style and feel of a soft surface. It can be custom designed for a company's specific aesthetic needs without altering someone's budget. Their products overall last twice as long as carpet. Their products can be used in hospitality, healthcare, education, retail, corporate, and government.

Sustainability: Their motto is to "Leave no Trace"...to give to the environment rather than taking from it. They have purchased green-e energy and currently have 11% of renewable energy in their building-primarily biodiesel, wind, and hydro sources.

Brief Description: Fabrics that can be used in commercial usage with a choice of soil resistance finish. All fabrics do have a Flame retardant finish that complies with California's Flammability test #117.

For cleaning purposes, vacuum and dust often to reduce embedment of dirt. Blot spills immediately. Use nonaqueous spot dry cleaner for oil based spills. Dry cleaning and professional upholstery cleaning can be used also for cleaning as long as fabric can hold life span.

Sustainability: uses 100% natural materials OR 100% recycled and recyclable materials. They use strict energy efficient manufacturing process. No additional topcoats, backings, or other chemical additives. All are labeled with a green tag. Their approach is that it must be 100% sustainable. If not, then using just "some" or "most" isn't doing it to the fullest. No LEED accreditation at the time, but it could contribute towards a credit. No currently GREENGUARD certified, but is working towards that point also. They are focusing on all materials produced in the US are environmentally friendly b/c the process should start at home.

Sustainability: all paints have low or no VOCs in their products for better sustainability. They have a new line called Ecospec with low and no VOCs with minimal odor. All products are water base to allow no odors. This is done by the pigment being mixed in with the chemicals at the same time to give no odor and VOC. Most paints add the pigment after the chemical has been mixed. The chemicals may have no VOC, but once pigment is added, it can still give odor. Meets LEED building specifications.

Too much of this type of furniture in one room could cause it to look too frail and not enough "substance" to a space.

This chair is called the Tsunami Chair. Very interesting design and the name fits so well with it. This chair really fascinated me and I love the idea of it! It's new, and never seen anything like it. Silver powder or Satin chrome are available in the metal part of the chair. Textiles vary.

Architects and Interior Designers work together to form interior architecture rather than a competition. They carry the famous Barcelona Chair. They also create their own textiles for their furniture. Very famous furniture company.

Sustainability: One of their office suites (The Graham Collection) earned LEED platinum in 2007. This is used in USGBC's headquarters. They used recycled materials and certified and renewable resources. They are also GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality certified. Also part of CCX (Chicago Climate Exchange), a legally binding greenhouse gas reduction program. Their SMaRT chair also received LEED Gold.
